As many of you know, I am always up to something. This 'project' is something I'm really excited about. It's something I've been brainstorming for awhile, and I am getting closer and closer to it becoming a reality. I thought I'd start out by introducing myself and a little background on this mystery project.

I'm Caitlyn, and I like vintage things. A lot. I'm a very visual person. I studied photojournalism in college, so my background in photography further reinforced the importance of visuals in my world. I especially like vintage decor, vintage clothes, well really, vintage anything. I find retro colors and elements mixed with a fresh modern take to be something really interesting and pleasing, and that's where this new clothing brand is coming from. As most of you know, I also sew and ran my handmade business Milk & Bones where I designed and made baby and children's clothes and accessories. That small business introduced me to the world of children's clothing, and now I'm ready to take it to the next level.

That's where Strawberry Jam Kids comes into play. Strawberry Jam Kids will be a clothing line based off of retro (think 60s and 70s mostly) style, aesthetic, colors, silhouettes, etc. I am so excited to bring this vintage vibe to the 21st century in the form of adorable clothes for little ones.

If you'd like to come along this journey with me and watch my vision come to life, please subscribe to my email! I will be sharing (just twice a month) my inspiration, behind the scenes, and more.

To start off, here's a great photo of my mom (center), my aunt and Grandpa camping. I love the color story in this image, and just the general "simpler times" feel it has.
